The hops plant will grow across your fence or trellis, hopefully producing hops this fall.
Let’s talk about hops!
Plant your hops outside in a full sun area. Keep your plants in a well drained, moist soil.
As temperatures drop, your leaves will fall off. This is a good time to cut your plant back to the crown.
Put a thick protective layer of mulch over your hops plant. After winter, once the frost has past, pull away your added layer of mulch. New shoots should start to produce as the ground warms.
