May and June Field Trip Information
We are excited to welcome school groups back to our facility.
At this time Colasanti’s is able to accommodate schools from 10am to 1pm
on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays starting May 2022.
Included in your visit

- Plant Production Greenhouse Approx. 5-10 min.
- Students will view a small growing area to see a sample of plant varieties that we grow.
- There will be a brief discussion about the difference between air plants and plants with roots as well as how they are able to grow in their habitats.

- Lemur Feeding Approx. 5-10 min.
- Our zookeeper will bring the students to the lemur habitat where she will explain the animals’ eating habits, favourite foods and answer our young visitors questions.
- The zookeeper will then enter the habitat and handfeed our friends “Lilo and Stitch”. Students will be able to watch a lemur feeding from our observation area.
- Lemur Feeding Approx. 5-10 min.


- Animal Scavenger Hunt & Petting Farm Exploration (Self-Guided) Approx. 30 min.

- Students will search through our indoor and outdoor petting farm areas to locate the animals on their scavenger hunt list. Fun facts about each animal are displayed at their exhibits. Students or chaperones can read the facts aloud in order to learn more about the animals they are seeing.

- Mini-Golf Approx. 30-45 min.

- Our 18 hole mini-golf course is surrounded by beautiful botanical gardens. This mini-golf course is challenging for even the most experienced putter. Complete with koi fish, red-eared slider turtles, sand traps and water fountains.
