2023 Field Trip, Summer Camp, and Birthday Party Information
Our field trip programs are fully booked for June.
We are accepting booking reservations for July & August at this time.
A field trip to Colasanti’s Tropical Gardens provides active learning opportunities with the hope of inspiring others to explore and care for plants and animals.
The content of our field trips is adapted to suit the learning stages of students from kindergarten to grade 8.
Package #1 – Available Monday to Friday

5-10 minutes
Plant Production Greenhouse
View one of our growing areas to investigate the basic needs of plants. Our staff will discuss how different varieties of plants have adapted to grow in their natural habitats which can often affect their physical characteristics and growth habits. Hear a brief explanation about how a greenhouse structure provides an ideal habitat for plants that would otherwise be impacted throughout the changing seasons in Southwestern Ontario.

Plant Transplanting Activity
Enter our garden centre where students will pick out a 2.5” tropical or succulent plant. Let us show them how to transplant their selection into a decorative pot and top off the small arrangement with colourful gravel to complete the look. Tropical and succulent plants vary in their care requirements so students will receive tips from our staff as well as a care sheet to set them up for success when caring for their little plant at home.
