Boston Fern
Plant Care Tips & Tricks

Boston ferns are a customer favourite for both inside and outside the home. They look great on a patio during the summer and thrive indoors throughout the rest of the year. In addition to being a low-maintenance plant, Boston Ferns also make the list of NASA's clean air plants.
Lighting: For indoor growing conditions, Boston Ferns prefer medium to bright indirect sunlight. If outdoors during the summer, it is best to keep this plant in an area where it will receive shade to partial shade. Direct sun, especially during the summer will result in sunburnt foliage.
Irrigation: During the summer, ferns require frequent irrigation to achieve optimal performance. It’s best to keep the soil evenly moist and watered. During winter months, they have medium water needs. Water when the top soil feels dry.
Humidity: Boston ferns adapt to average household humidity levels but will appreciate some extra moisture. Add humidity around your plant by using a mister, pebble tray, or humidifier. Consider placing this plant in a kitchen or bathroom where humidity levels are higher.
Fertilizer: Feed once a month in the spring and summer using a balanced fertilizer. Follow package instructions.
