China Doll

Plant Care Tips & Tricks

China Doll

China Doll is a fairly compact plant with bright and waxy fern-like leaves. In smaller pot sizes it has a bushy growth habit with finely divided leaves. This exquisite appearance is perfect for filling in empty spaces on walls, shelves, and tables. As the China Doll plant matures, it develops into a tree with woody stems and a thick canopy.

Lighting: These plants enjoy medium to bright, indirect sunlight. Avoid direct sun which is likely to cause burnt foliage.

Irrigation: Allow the soil to slightly dry between thorough irrigations. Water until liquid runs from drainage holes at the bottom of the pot and discard excess water. Do not allow your plant to sit in standing water as it will lead to root rot. Allowing soil to slightly dry permits oxygen to reach the roots.

Humidity: This plant adapts to average household humidity levels.

Fertilizer: Feed once a month in the spring and summer using a balanced fertilizer. Follow package instructions.
