Chinese Evergreen

Chinese Evergreen, or Aglaonema, is loved for its beautiful leaf colouring and easy-going nature. This sturdy plant is a great choice for beginners because of its tolerance for various growing conditions.

Varieties: Spring Snow, Golden Madonna, Dazzling Gem, Silver Bay, Maria, Aurora, Red Peacock

Lighting: Chinese Evergreens will tolerate low to medium light conditions; however, they will perform best with bright filtered or indirect sunlight. Place it in a well-lit room with windows away from direct light. If the foliage starts to lose some of its unique colouring or patterning place it in a brighter light location.

Irrigation: Allow the soil to slightly dry between thorough irrigations. Water until liquid runs from drainage holes at the bottom of the pot and discard excess water. Do not allow your plant to sit in standing water as it will lead to root rot.

Humidity: These plants adapt well to average household humidity levels.

Fertilizer: Chinese evergreens only require fertilizer in the spring and summer. Use a balanced fertilizer and follow package recommendations.
