Ficus

Ficus are popular houseplants because of their easy-going nature and wide assortment of varieties. One of our most popular tropical plant families, ficus are available in many different of foliage shapes, colours and textures.

Lighting: Ficus typically prefer bright indirect sunlight. Avoid direct sun as it can burn the foliage.

Irrigation: Allow the soil to partially dry between thorough waterings. Irrigate when the topsoil is dry to the touch. Water until liquid runs from drainage holes at the bottom of the pot and discard excess water. Do not allow your plant to sit in standing water as it will lead to root rot.

Humidity: Varieties typically enjoy average household humidity.

Fertilizer: Once a month during the growing season-spring and summer. Use a balanced fertilizer and follow package directions.
