Fiddle Leaf Fig
Plant Care Tips & Tricks

The Fiddle Leaf Fig, or Ficus Lyrata, is a popular tropical houseplant with an upright growth habit. It often becomes a focal point in a room as a floor plant and can grow up to six feet tall. Its beautiful broad, green leaves have deep veining and are attached to sturdy woody stems.
Lighting: Fiddle leaf figs prefer lots of bright, indirect sunlight. For larger potted varieties, be sure to rotate your plant every few months to prevent a leaning growth habit.
Irrigation: Allow the soil to slightly dry between thorough irrigations. Water until liquid runs from drainage holes at the bottom of the pot and discard excess water. Do not allow your plant to sit in standing water as it will lead to root rot. Allowing soil to slightly dry permits oxygen to reach the roots.
Humidity: Fiddle leaf figs will adjust to average household but will appreciate some extra moisture from the use of a mister, pebble tray or humidifier.
Fertilizer: Once a month during spring and summer using a balanced fertilizer. Follow package recommendations.
