Fittonia
Plant Care Tips & Tricks

Also known as "Nerve Plant" or "Mosaic Plant", this tropical houseplant is identifiable by its bright, delicate veins that contrast against its dark green foliage. Fittonia is a low-growing plant which makes it perfect for hanging baskets and terrariums.
Varieties: We grow three different colours of Fittonia- red, white, and pink.
Lighting: This plant prefers indirect, bright sunlight. Avoid direct sun which is likely to cause sunburnt foliage. Lower light conditions may result in the plant losing some of its bright veining.
Irrigation: Allow the soil to slightly dry between thorough irrigations. Water until liquid runs from drainage holes at the bottom of the pot and discard excess water. Do not allow your plant to sit in standing water as it will lead to root rot. Allowing soil to slightly dry permits oxygen to reach the roots.
Humidity: This plant will adapt to average household humidity levels; however, it will appreciate a boost in humidity from a pebble tray , humidifier, or occasional misting.
Fertilizer: Feed once a month in the spring and summer using a balanced fertilizer. Follow package instructions.
