Hen's and Chicks
Plant Care Tips & Tricks

Hens and chicks are succulent plants, part of the Sempervivum group. They get their name because of their habit of propagating new baby plants. Hens & Chicks are incredibly easy-to-grow plants with a tolerance for poor soil and unwelcoming conditions. They are a winter-hardy perennial which means you can pant them in the ground and they will come back each Spring. Hens and Chicks come in a variety of textures and colours.
Lighting: Sempervivum requires medium to high light and will grow best in sunny spots where it can receive filtered or direct sunlight. It makes the perfect plant for any well-lit room in your house.
Irrigation: Allow soil to fully dry between thorough irrigations. Water until liquid runs from drainage holes at the bottom of the pot and discard excess water. Do not allow your plant to sit in standing water as it will lead to root rot.
Humidity: This plant does not require added humidity.
