Plant Care Tips & Tricks

Physical characteristics of palms can vary depending on the variety; generally, their fronds help to bring a tropical feel to your indoor space and are perfect for filling in empty areas amongst your home decor.
Standard Varieties: Cat Palm, Majesty Palm, Areca Palm, Parlour Palm, Phoenix Palm
Seasonal Varieties: During the Spring and Summer we carry various other varieties of exotic palms.
Lighting: Generally, these plants enjoy lots of bright, indirect sunlight- this can vary based on variety.
Irrigation: Allow the soil to slightly dry between thorough irrigations. Water until liquid runs from drainage holes at the bottom of the pot and discard excess water. Do not allow your plant to sit in standing water as it will lead to root rot.
Allowing soil to slightly dry permits oxygen to reach the roots.
Humidity: Most palms we carry will appreciate a little extra humidity between waterings. You can add humidity around your plant by using a mister, pebble tray, or humidifier.
Fertilizer: Feed once a month during the summer using a balanced fertilizer. Follow package recommendations.
