Field Trip catalogue

School Field Trip Packages are available Monday-Friday.

Not available on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

This package includes the following activites:

2. Indoor Animal Area Activities 

  • Our zookeeper will provide a 10 minute meet and greet so students can get up close and personal with an animal friend. 

  • A self-guided scavenger hunt gives students the opportunity to observe animals in a variety of habitats and compare their physical characteristics.

  • The indoor animal area includes habitats, a goat enclosure petting farm, and a walkthrough finch aviary.

3. Outdoor Animal Habitats & Play Zone

  • More animal habitats are available outdoors for additional exploration.

  • Outdoor sandbox, playground, and pedal bike track are weather-dependent during the winter season.​​​

  • All outdoor activities are self-guided.

1. Greenhouse Talk & Planting Activity 

  • Explore one of our growing areas while learning about plant needs, natural adaptations, and how these influence their appearance and growth. Discover how greenhouse structures create ideal conditions for plants year-round in Southwestern Ontario.​​​​

  • Students will use acrylic paint and brushes to decorate a small clay pot, select a 2.5” tropical plant, transplant it into their pot with coloured gravel, and learn care tips to help it thrive at home.

Paint & Plant Package

This package includes the following activites:

  • In this hands-on terrarium activity, students will learn how to layer materials in a glass container to create a healthy habitat for chick plants (succulents). They will explore how each layer supports drainage, soil health, and plant growth.
