Our Outdoor habitats are open seasonally. As you enter the outdoor space, we have a paved path that leads to the goat habitat. Guests are welcome to travel to all outdoor spaces. Several of the habitats are surrounded by gravel and dirt. Mini Golf Course: Accessibility devices are welcome on our 18-Hole Mini Golf Course, which is made with connecting cement pathways. Each hole has obstacles and is surrounded by brick to help keeps the balls in play, so this is at your own discretion. Arcade: The Arcade Room and ticket redemption store is paved/bricked and has wide paths throughout the space. Restaurant and Garden Centre: Colasanti's restuarant and shopping spaces are designed with wide paved and brick pathways. Ramps are built where necessary. Washroom Accessibility Located by our entrance, we have public washrooms. In both the men and women's facility, there is a handicap accessible stall. Support Persons Colasanti's has policies in place to ensure that support persons are able to chaperone activities without charge. At our Animal Area entrance, we ask that a support person identify themselves and their role so that we can waive the admission fee for the support worker. You only pay if you play. On the Mini Golf Course, support persons are welcome to enter as a chaperone without a fee. If the support person would like to play a round of Mini Golf, an admission fee is required. Service Animals Service animals are welcome in our facility. Pets are not permitted. Please be aware that we have animals on site, located in our Animal Area. Goats will be loose in the Interactive Goat Playground Area. The Animal Area has cement and brick pathways throughout to help provide smooth access to indoor habitats. There is one cement pathway outside. Parts of the outdoor Animal Area do require the ability to move over loose gravel and dirt. Our Mini Golf Course holes are connected by cement paths. Please note that the holes themselves have rocks and obstacles. The perimeter of each hole is surrounded by bricks, helping to keep the ball in play. Are your activities indoors? < Back Orchids Plant Care Tips & Tricks Orchids are known for their exotic flair and beautiful blooms that come in different colours and sizes. A wide range of orchid types are available, and most of them exhibit similar characteristics. Orchid flowers have three petals and three sepals. They also have a lip and a waxy tube-like structure called a column. With their vivid and unique flowers, orchids are a sure way to add colour to your home or office. Varieties: Phalaenopsis and Dendrobiums are common varieties of orchid that we carry. We bring in a wide variety of more specialty orchids throughout the year. Lighting: This plant needs filtered or dappled sunlight. Place it in a well-lit room with windows, away from direct light. A sunny window with sheer curtains is also a good idea. Irrigation: Soak the growing medium (bark) for 5-10 minutes and then thoroughly drain any excess water. Once the roots of your plant turn white/grey, the orchid is ready to be watered again. This should happen every week or two. Humidity: Orchids can adapt to lower humidity levels but will thrive in an environment with more moisture. You can add humidity around your plant by using a mister, pebble tray, or humidifier. Consider placing this plant in a kitchen or bathroom where humidity levels are higher. Fertilizer: Use an orchid-specific fertilizer that is specially formulated for the needs of these plants. Previous Next
