While the growing conditions in your home may not be sufficient to produce fruit, this plant’s large, dark green, glossy leaves with ruffled edges make up for it. Coffee plants have a compact growth habit and produce small, sweetly scented, and star-shaped white flowers when grown in ideal conditions. Lighting: Bright, indirect sunlight. Direct sun will burn the foliage of this plant. Irrigation: Maintain moderately moist soil. Irrigate when the topsoil is dry to the touch. They will enjoy the outdoors during the summer season, but will need to come inside for our cool Canadian fall, winter and spring seasons. Varieties: Can vary from year to year but past varieties have included avocado, Barbados cherry, black pepper, cashew, guava, jackfruit, miracle fruit, olive, pomegranate, sugar apple.
