Your field trip guide will escort your group(s) to and from each activity area. Guided activities : our team will lead you during our planting sessions and the animal meet & greet. Self-guided activities : mini golf, indoor animal scavenger hunt, outdoor playground, hedgemaze and pedal bike track. Activities vary per package selection. Departure Groups are welcome to depart at their convenience once activities are complete. Buses should arrange to pick up guests from the same entrance as drop off: the west end entrance. Step 2: Frequently Asked Questions When do I need to confirm attendance numbers? Please provide final attendance numbers one week before your visit. Do I need to pay in advance? Deposit not required Payment is made on the date of your field trip so that invoice adjustments can be made in case of unexpected absences. Cheques, Visa, Mastercard, debit, and cash are all acceptable forms of payment. Please make cheques payable to Colasanti Farms Ltd. Please include the Event # listed in the top right corner of your invoice. Do chaperones pay? Chaperones (parents, teachers, school staff) enter activity spaces for free in order to supervise children. If chaperones wish to participate in planting/crafting activities or mini golf, notify your booking associate in advance, and they will be added to your invoice. Fees are listed with each package description in the catalogue. For groups paying the flat rate (up to 19 participants), any unused spots can be filled by teachers or chaperones at no extra charge. Is there a chaperone limit? We do not limit the number of chaperones for field trip bookings. However, we kindly request that adults allow students priority access to the best viewing areas during plant and animal talks. Can we order lunch? We recommend arranging lunch orders in advance. Lunch orders will be included on your invoice. Popular lunch options include Family Value Meals, Kiddie Meals, and pizza. Please see the Everyday Menu on our website for more menu options and pricing. If any of your guests will be ordering food on-site, please place orders upon arrival and notify our restaurant staff of your scheduled lunch time. Are the animal area and playground outdoors? Our animal area includes both indoor and outdoor habitats. Some habitats, playground, sandbox and hedgemaze are located outdoors, so we encourage guests to dress for the weather. *Outdoor activities (outside animal areas, playground, sandbox, pedal bike track) closes to the public late Fall to early Spring. Closure dates vary based on the weather. Step 3: View the Field Trip Catalogue Browse our field trip options to see what’s available. - Goldfish Plant | Colasanti
< Back Goldfish Plant Plant Care Tips & Tricks Goldfish plants have thick, shiny leaves and vibrant orange flowers that resemble tiny goldfish. As they mature, their trailing stems will cascade down the sides of a pot, creating a pleasing display. Expect most blooms from Summer through Autumn. Lighting: This plant requires a lot of bright sunlight to produce maximum blooms; however, avoid direct sun as it can burn the foliage. Irrigation: Allow the soil to slightly dry between thorough irrigations. Water until liquid runs from drainage holes at the bottom of the pot and discard excess water. Do not allow your plant to sit in standing water as it will lead to root rot. Allowing soil to slightly dry permits oxygen to reach the roots. Humidity: Goldfish plants adapt to lower humidity levels but will appreciate the use of a pebble tray, humidifier, or occasional misting. Fertilizer: Once a month during spring and summer. Use a balanced fertilizer and follow package recommendations. Previous Next

- Dieffenbachia | Colasanti
< Back Dieffenbachia Plant Care Tips & Tricks Dieffenbachia are tropical foliage plants that are loved for their lush leaves and variety of unique patterning. They are forgiving plants with low-maintenance care requirements making them ideal for new plant parents. Varieties: Tropic Snow, Camo Panther, Reflector, Camille, Splash Lighting: These plants enjoy medium to bright, indirect sunlight. The less sun they receive, the slower they will grow. Avoid direct sun which is likely to cause sunburnt foliage. Humidity: Dieffenbachia do well in average household humidity. Fertilizer: Once a month during spring and summer using a balanced fertilizer. Follow package recommendations. Previous Next
